Welcome to Rygene Metaldetecting Club Norwegian versionEnglish version

Welcome to our Norwegian Metaldetecting Club.

This is a detecting club for those interested in our history doing metaldetecting and as often as possible are out in the fields with their metaldetector looking for artefacts of historical and cultural value which are lying right under our feet.

The club was founded on the 01th of october 2006 in Stavanger, by two eager detectorists: John Kvanli and Morten Eek, living on the south-west coast of Norway.

The club is dedicated to the hobby of metaldetecting and is ment as a common forum for detectorists who have a genuin interest in our history, archaeology, and that they thru the hobby can contribute in finding and conserving important historical finds for future generation to see and charish at museums. The club members have a good cooperation with several local authorities and museums all over the country, and is often out on missions and assignments with their metaldetectors helping out. We follow all demands, laws and ethics that metaldetectorists in Norway must apply too at all time while doing detecting. Read also about the intention of the club.

We hope that you will find our homepage and the club interesting and profitable!

Best regards John Kvanli & Morten Eek admins
